The pictures, with comments, will help you have
an easier time finding her grave in Section 53, grave 119.
The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona is
just North of Phoenix. Turn into the main entrance off of Pinnacle Peak
Road, just east of Cave Creek Road.
I had trouble finding the grave. A lady helped
me and loaned me her bucket so I could wash the red granite dirt (from a
recent hard rain) off the marker. She also gave me the blue flowers for
the grave. I am in her debt.
Aldean's body is in her casket. I plan to be
cremated. Some of my ashes will be buried with Aldean after a short service
at the nearby ramada. The Mountain Rescue Honor guard with bagpipes plan
to be there and play for me as they did for Aldean.
The remainder of my ashes will be dropped from
an airplane or helicopter onto the North Slope of Thompson Peak.
When driving from Payson to Phoenix, on Arizona
State Route 87, at milepost 32, you will see the North Slope of Thompson
Peak rising high in front of your windshield. Then the highway swings to
the right.
The remainder of my ashes will be here, forever.
But they will be in a different form as they nourish the soil. I will be,
elsewhere.
Aldean, I will be with you one day.
